The American city of Chicago is terrorised by the “King of Chicago”, a mysterious gangster whose appearance and voice remain hidden to all, and nobody knows which flag is his excuse to bully the world. The local police have tried every possible means to stop him, but to no avail. So they turn to the greatest living detective, Hardie the Turtle. A short while later, his friends, Trickster the fox and wolf Hungerly, join him, as they have always wanted to take on real gangsters. They also convince the brawler Paunch, Hungerly’s mountain-dwelling cousin, to join them, and the adventure can begin.
Will good triumph over evil once again? Will luck be on our friends’ side? Or will they secure the auspicious outcome themselves – with wisdom, cunning, some muscle and, above all, the teamwork that only true friendship brings?
