Unsex Me Here
- Concept, choreography, performance: Olympia Bukkakis, Maria F. Scaroni
Unsex Me Here is a work that explores the figures of the queen and the witch in the historical imagination of the West, as well as in the queer and now. Through their own lived experiences and their shared practice of drag somatics, trans femmes meet sages-femmes, the perimenopausal become serious regal bitches and voiceless queens make themselves heard.
Olympia Bukkakis (the Queen) is a drag queen, choreographer, moderator and author that lives and works in Berlin. Together with choreographer and community-builder Maria F. Scaroni (the Witch), who also works in Berlin, they bring to life a queer child of exquisite interoceptive authenticity, politicized sensibility, real personas, cunty Marxism and heretical prayers.
Performance in English, consecutive translation.
