Open Call for International Students
We are happy to welcome 10 international students (theatre and performance studies, dramaturgy, directing, etc.) to a showcase at the MLADINSKO Theatre, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
A series of talks, performance analyses, meetings with artists, etc. will be headed by theatre director and writer Mladen Alexiev from Sofia, Bulgaria. His work spans theatre, radio, and cross-media projects exploring the interplay between performance and various media forms. As a collaborator and performer, he has contributed to productions in Bulgaria, Serbia, the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy. He is a co-founder of ACT Association (the first independent theatre association in Bulgaria, established in 2009) and served as the artistic director of the inaugural ACT Independent Theatre Festival (ACT Festival) in 2011. Since 2022, Alexiev has been heading the International Department of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre in Sofia. He is a co-founder of the production company Silent Space, through which he develops and produces his independent artistic projects.
Participants will get to see some of Mladinsko's most acclaimed recent productions, take part in talks, workshops and meetups at the theatre club. MLADINSKO Theatre will provide accommodation (March 14–20) and theatre tickets.
