International Call for Students
We are happy to welcome 10 international students (theatre and performance studies, dramaturgy, directing, etc.) to a showcase at the MLADINSKO Theatre, Ljubljana, Slovenia.
A series of talks, performance analyses, meetings with artists, etc. will be headed by Simona Semenič. She is a playwright, dramaturge, author, performer, and teacher. She graduated from Dramaturgy at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film, and Television (AGRFT) in Ljubljana, Slovenia. She is a three-time winner of the national best play award, she received the Prešeren Fund Award (the highest national award for artistic creation) and the Cankar Award for best literary work. Her plays were translated into twenty-two languages and staged and published in several countries in Europe, the USA, South America, and the Middle East. Productions of her plays won numerous awards in Slovenia and abroad. Simona also writes, directs, and performs experimental theatre shows. She teaches playwriting, leads workshops for theatre and creative writing in Slovenia and abroad.
Participants will get to see some of Mladinsko's most acclaimed recent productions, take part in talks, workshops and meetups at the theatre club. MLADINSKO Theatre will provide accommodation (March 7–11) and theatre tickets.
