SoToSpeak: Antigone + What is not

SoToSpeak – the cycle of theatre essays was finally fully realised in the 2021/2022 season, with all the epidemic complications and delays. If we didn't know exactly where we were going when we were planning it, now we absolutely know where we are. SoToSpeak has evolved into an extremely interesting platform for exploring theatrical practices somewhere on the border between theatre, theory and literature. Therefore, in the 2022/2023 season, a second edition will be staged with six new essayists, new themes and new theatrical and thought experiences.

In the first essay evening of the new series, Gregor Moder will reflect on the assumption that humanity is in a situation where it must reinvent itself or perish, and how this task is linked to Antigone. Karpo Godina will focus on the memory of the bicycle protests and the problem of their historicization. At the same time, he will deal in passing, but no less engagingly, with the question of the presence or absence of the author.
